EENCE Citizenship Education Forum: We invite you to participate!
Discuss essential issues, support each other, find new experiences and guidelines for activities in our time full of anxiety and uncertainty, and find new partners. All this will become possible at the EENCE Forum “Rethinking Citizenship Education”, held on October 21-23 in Moldova. Secure these dates and fill out an application!
The EENCE Forum is an excellent opportunity to finally meet “live”, discuss the priorities for promoting citizenship education and democracy in the Eastern Partnership countries and redefine the aim of our work.
During the Forum, we plan to discuss the geopolitical prospects of our region, the place and priorities of the EENCE Network and other providers’ promotion of democracy and citizenship education.
Separate discussions will be devoted to:
- rethinking citizenship education in the context of war and political crises in the region
- promoting citizenship education against the backdrop of information wars, propaganda and fake news
- identifying ways to ensure equal access to education for different target groups (including people temporarily displaced due to war and refugees)
- determining ways to support educators and their target groups who find themselves in forced relocation.
One of the noteworthy events of the Forum will be the Open Space “Rethinking citizenship education. In other words – what we can do to ensure that citizenship education in the region gives more satisfactory results”. In which everyone will have the opportunity to propose and discuss with others what will make our work in demand and more efficient.
We also look forward to your active participation in the talk show “Citizenship Education in the EaP Region: How to Maintain the Common (without Losing Our Own) in the Context of Growing Geopolitical Gap”.
The highlight of the Forum will be open workshops that Forum participants will hold for guests (including residents from the area).
Attention! You can also register for your masterclass by completing the application form by August 21, 2022.
The Forum program will include the selected masterclasses.
The third day of the Forum is entirely dedicated to the future of the Eastern European Network of Citizenship Education. Participation in the events of the EENCE day will be limited to guests and non-members.
Here we will agree on the priorities of our activities, taking into account today’s realities and forecasts for the development of the situation in the future, propose ideas for joint projects of the Network in 2023 and discuss the concepts of possible future projects of the Network.
The Forum is not only a place of severe discussions but also for hugs and thrilling meetings.
We will try to fill the program of the Forum with meetings with exciting people (musicians, writers and others), joint walks and even a short trip! Furthermore, get acquainted with Moldova’s traditions, cuisine and culture!
